Wholesale Dresses: Capturing The Plus Size Market

According to Marshall Cohen, chief retail analyst for the NPD Group, although
women who wear plus sizes have 28% of the buying power in the female clothing
market, total dollars sales for plus sized clothing constituted only 17% of all dollar purchases.

While this could mean that plus sized women's clothing is simply priced lower than all other
size ranges, the reality is probably a different story.

Based on my business experience selling wholesale dresses I have seen that there is a large
demand for plus sizes, but most dress retailers still concentrate on smaller size ranges when
purchasing wholesale dresses.

I would recommend that all dress boutiques, eBay sellers, and wholesalers, take the above mentioned startling figures when placing wholesale orders.

If you live leave money on the table, a more savvy dress vendor will simply pick it up.
